Thanks Busy Bee2 I am going to leave them in this year.  Great suggestions-grateful of gardeners experience on this forum.

Thanks Bob. They are white purissima This is the second year of flowering-an amazing display.  I planted very deep as advised. Didn't know about the tulip fire so thanks for the tip. Think I 'm going to try bedding.  Happy gardening.

I know I should let the foliage die down following flowering but should I remove the stem when petals have dropped off as they look unsightly.  Any advice as to what I can plant in the meantime as the tulips are in a box hedge partare.  Thanks

Hi, I have decided to try collecting & growing my own seed. My problem is many articles tell you how to collect & store but not when is the best time to sow. I have collected campanula, salvia, allium & hellebores. Should I sow now or in the spring. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Hi Wilesy 100 I had the same problem last year and decided to take a chance & cut back hard to about 2foot high. It has regrown to a much more manageable size with new shoots red as they should be. Give it a go

Hi, this is the first season of planting my box parterre. Spring has been very successful with white tulips under-planted with wallflowers. Could anyone suggest summer plants.  Many thanks.

Box Update

An update on my box problems of last year. At the moment they are all looking really healthy, hopefully they were just stressed due to planting & the wet weather. Obviously I am keen to keep them looking good-I intend to spray with clear rose but should I do this before or after I trim them. Any advice would be appreciated.
