Rain washed away the snow rapidly & since then it's been quite cold. About 1c tonight, somehow I think that it'll go lower during the night!
Excellent - but wasn't it a good costume and he walked just like a bear?
Woke up to over 2" of snow this morning, was rather cold but lovely in the sun. (I wore my wooly Christmas pudding design hat to the shops). It's been slowly melting all day & is now almost all gone but pouring down with rain.
And if my aunt had ba**s she'd be my uncle.
As a child whilst clumsily trying to do something, my Mum would say "You're like a cow with a musket"
My Yorkshire boss of many years ago "Run a country? I wouldn't trust him to run a dog up the road"
That's just showing-off Matt!!
Those chrysanths are stonking, you must have looked after them really well! I try not to grow anything that's not hardy, but I do like that pink one.
Oh yes, my toad lilies are still vg too, also forgot the clary sage & sidalceas/mallows - small flowers but several spikes with lots of flowers on. The hardy geraniums have been very good but the frosts seem to have done for them now.
Wonderful picture Clueless, very evocative. I'm very keen on back-lit photos, did you take it??
In a raffle I won a large unglazed clay pot of pelargoniums. They are extremely thirsty & their pot has gone green in the lower half despite being indoors on a sunless windowsill. I agree it's not a bad look for outside & having read your replies to Gareth, have decided that the "rustic" look inside isn't too bad either!
