MOB rants

A friend advised using a hotmail e-mail address to give to companies when he was suspicious that he wouldn't be able to get rid of them. If it gets too bad just close it & open another.

Many years ago a cousin ordered a cookery book, part of a series but wrote & told them that she didn't want any more. Another was sent, then another until she had the full set. She phoned several times to no avail then wrote to say that the goods were unsolicited & gave them a time limit for collection or would charge them rent (she's a solicitor so has the language!!). They wrote back & said it wasn't worth paying her the postage to return them & she could keep them.

I haven't heard "Greensleeves" for years...........

A Cautionary Tale .....

Variegated ground elder - it just loves my warm, free-draining raised bed.

Tomorrow it's going to have a lovely drink..........of glyphosate!!!

Thanks for the warning about Shizostylis, I've just noticed that there are a lot of smaller leaves round the plant - obviously putting on their running shoes......

What's the weather like in your area?

Now the visitors have gone the weather's turned cloudy - still at least they had lovely weather whilst they were here.

Forecast cloudy for tomorrow too.  Time for lots more planting!

Gardening errors.....

Daft thing that I did, many many years ago. Read an article in a magazine which said that milk was good for houseplants.  Went round all of them being very generous.....

A couple of days later when I came downstairs - what a smell!!!!  What an idiot!!!

On the other hand - who wrote the article???

Sorry , it's been glorious sunshine all day. Shorts & sun top (back now a bit pink...)

Am now worried that my anti vine weevil nematodes have dried up, I watered them in well last Wednesday & have been away since & it's been dry.  Oh well, fingers crossed!!

Good Evening FORKERS

Spent nearly a week in Edinburgh with friends from London - got back to a very hairy garden - it's been dry & sunny.

Fortunately our friends like gardening  so 1 was on pot watering duties & staking;1 did dead-heading; OH cut the grass & I weeded.  Result!!!

All done in glorious sunshine with more promised for tomorrow.  It's garden visiting then.

update on Jeyes Fluid and cat probs

Watched 2 cats last week sniff a bag then walk right past, so had to put down some new ones.  I was surprised that they were not bothered, as the bags still smelled quite strong.

Well, just about there - when I zoomed right in, I've discovered that I am now living on the golf course - oooops, only a few hundred yards out!!

well on the map is a icon like a chain link clicking on that will give a link to the map as you see it on screen.

Woooooo-Hoooooo.  Got there at last!!!!!
When I brought a mini version of the map up it had a balloon correctly placed, which I could put the cursor onto.  Result!!

Thanks for your patience Blackest.

That's interesting Bookertoo, mine is in a raised bed with lovely soft soil facing east & getting lots of sun. Maybe where I bought it from had similar conditions to you, so for them it was small.
