Petrol lawn mower

Hi Verd, we have that Bosch rechargeable & OH (aka "Mower Man") is very pleased with it. He can just about cut all the grass if there's very little to come off, so he usually does part then recharges over lunch, then finishes.

He does have 1 gripe, though - there's no indicator when the power gets low - it just dies "mid-stripe!!"   We looked at the cost of a spare battery ....... so didn't get one!

My evening last night - if I didn't laugh I'd have cried!

Hope you had a better day today, with cake, Veggie!

Only light breeze again & after a glorious start went for a walk round an open garden.

Didn't take coats - bad move!!  The showers started gently at first then as we chatted to the gardeners it got heavier & heavier until they fled indoors & we made haste for the car!!

Got home, it was completely dry there,  but the rain soon started.

As you say, Jo it's very "lush" out there now, but we still have lots of daffies still out & the tulips in pots are super.

Good Evening FORKERS

Lovely day for a potter today, the wind was gentle & the sun shone most of the day.

I deadheaded daffies & cut back dead bits from winter which I'd missed & found all sorts of weeds......   Took me ages to separate a small berberis from a large clump of grass (in a pot). I ended up taking it out & soaking the roots then teasing them apart with an old kitchen fork.

Dug up an orangey & yellow primula which had seeded itself in the front lawn   Mower Man had carefully cut round it a few days ago when he did the 1st cut.

Spread some weed & feed over the front grass & the back until it ran out.

I'll vote for Nelly up here too - she's just poking her head above the ground a few inches now.

Does anyone else..........

I wonder about this too, we always chop up the banana skins; this is our first composting year.

Our bins are not in a "hot" place & of the beehive type, which I have read are not as efficient as other types.

What a difference a day (& a bit) makes!!

Friday early evening heavy rain & sleet, 1c.

Today late afternoon sunshine & 15c.

My poor babies out there are all confused.

Glad it's not just me jacqui!!

It warmed up later to about 10c but still showery so stayed in & put up pictures - been in the house 3 years in Sept & only put up a few.  The walls are now well & truly festooned (and himself didn't even bash his thumb ).
