What's the weather like in your area?

Was -4c here at 8 o'clock this morning; about 1c during the day & a bit overcast; it's currently .8c in the shed.

They keep telling us that the snow is coming...........

Has anyone got any snow yet?

None yet, though a tiny bit of sleet first thing.

It's rather grey though........    And cold.

That looks really great, just the sort of thing that I was looking for last year, but I was told that the pump needed to be removed during the winter - it can get a bit chilly at times!

I put down twiggy bits onto flowerbeds.  They go all over the grass .

Fortunately I have a cousin with a trailer who knows a man with a huge hole to fill in .

So was I. Digging a new flower bed, unfortunately in our ground that involves a lot of stone removal.

Finally manged to get outside today. Not much to report, lots of buds on ribes, forsythia, shrubby potentilla, etc.  Quite a lot of bulbs of all types just poking through.

The only things out are a variegated lamium, various primulas, some violas,& the japonica buds are trying very hard!  There's aslo a hebe, don't know what type, it's in a pot & white with the tiniest hint of purple on the flowers which have been out for months.

Unfortunately the winter-flowering jasmine isn't!

We have a Belfast sink too, I was going to plant it up with "something"  but have recently been wondering about turning it into some sort of pond. I was advised at a local nursery that solar powered pumps are useless up here.

I thought that your garden was big, Weejenny? Lots of space up there in the hills.
