Talkback: How to prune roses

I suggest looking where you bought the roses from,,make sure the pots are big enough, ensure that the drainage is good eg polystyrene or broken pots place over hole in bottom of pot,if you have garden soil, mix in some grit,home made compost and feed mix well.

Can you tell us what bulbs were infected eg Daffs, tulips , and what was the damage eg colour, shape,stem etc.

depends on when your Clematis flowers,try to move it when it becomes dorment, make sure the hole is deep ,water well, with fertilizer added as a good start,to a new life,
before you dig up the Clematis water it well some time before.
Things to remember with a Clematis is---- plant deeper than usual--- in case of Clematis wilt.-- keep roots in shade or protect with stones,or other plants, when you do move it take as much soil with it as possible.

Yes i too take cuttings of Fushia's, Pelagoniums,Pansies,etc but nothing like you,what a wonderful escape and pleasure. Wish my windowsills were a LOT bigger.

I live in the outskirts of a large city,we don't have many bats flying around, but one day when changing the pots of plants on my wall, i came across the dehydrated body of a Pippistral WOW!!! so surprised how small they are, i have kept it in a small box so that children or any person interested, can take a look at something so perfect in every way.

Astrantias not flowering

I have only one Astrantia,which normally flowers most of the summer no trouble at all,this year not so,foliage is badly marked and flowers not much colour,for a better description, it looks sick, think will cut it back and give a feed.
