Anyone done any gardening today - Version 2

Posted: 27/03/2016 at 14:48

Managed an hour before giving up because of the heavy showers and wind. A few more jobs done, hoed and threw some bfb on on the beds.

Emptied a pot full of crocosmia and saved a couple of Dicentra type plants that were caught up in it. Have been meaning to do this job for about 2 years.  Noticed that honesty is now self seeding.  Split a large clump of Innula and replanted some croscosmia in it's place. Potted up any stragglers

Love the sound of your polytunnel Hosta, you must be able to grow so much stuff in there and it doesn't matter what's the weather is like.

Still not convinced that it is a penstenom Wonky, but it might be

Interesting plants that you are all  growing I don't mind a bit of red valerian, just needs keeping an eye on. I had loads of monarda seedlings last year Vic, they grew into big plants quickly. I've a couple planted out now and should flower this year. Not had these plants before so lots to look forward to

Excellent nut, I found some aquilegia seeds the other day. I take it yours are from an Autumn sowing? Good going on the clem and the Daphne too.

I've been sowing seeds for a few years now, don't think I'll ever tire of it

Not yet apart from checking my seed trays, I have germination! Weather is looking slightly better than anticipated so it might be a gardenening day after all.

I think I might have some penstenomon seeds up indoors, looking very tiny so it might be just the odd weed but.............checked my frame and things are growing. Echium blue bedder and some night scented stock have germinated! Love it.

Only did them 10 days ago, so happy with my new frame, it's doing it's job

HELLO FORKERS March 2016 edition

Morning everyone. I love the clocks changing sort of maps out the year for me along with marking the solstices. Maybe a little too early, but I think I have my first seeds up! Could be weeds from the mpc but I'm optimistic!

There's some sun and rain here, if it clears up at all, I'll be blood fish and boning the borders. Have a good day everyone

Don't know the details Punkdog, but try and not carry the anger with you too much. It won't be affecting your neighbour, but these emotions can really damage us. Hope it gets sorted soon
