Help needed!

Posted: 09/08/2015 at 18:24

I'm happy with the forum, it's easy to use apart from the quote thing, never have got the hang of it. I like it being free of the other social media sites.

Some threads including the cat ones do get repeated, but it makes for a much more interesting place. I like the idea of the animals section, maybe pets in the garden?

I do like that you can upload pics without having to use an external site and on the whole they all open so you can see the pic in all it's glory. The PM facility is also very good

Sweet peas slow to flower

You could always sow some in Autumn, which should give you earlier flowers next year.

Hello

Is it possible to divide Sweet Williams?

Posted: 06/08/2015 at 13:01

They will be fine outside. I leave mine either out in pots or in coldframes and my greenhouse. My carefully selected seeds of darks and lights proved nothing like what I expected but they were lovely just the same.

Got some new ones on the go for next year

Storing plant pots

I stack them in my cold frames or greenhouse, trouble is they always seem to multipy or I've never got the right size pot. I don't think I had many when I moved here, now they are everywhere!

Fab pictures NorthernLass, they are so sweet. No further sightings here but I'm still leaving some food out and it's being eaten.

Currings - some questions

I take the bag off my cuttings after a few days and keep them out of direct sunlight. I don't water too much until I can see some growth appearing it can take a while for the roots to pop out of the bottom

I tried growing the annual type this year. They didn't germinate that well for me and the plants that I did get were a little straggly. Mine had pretty deep red flowers
