Place the bulbs in  another part of the garden so they can finish making food through the leaves.

I always dead head as much as I can - I also dead head the ones that have been bitten into . I think this is caused by the lily beetle. ?

What about an evergreen Ceanothus ? The tree form grows quite rapidly.

I recently purchased an Amelanchier lamarckii tree on line and have realised it has very tiny flowers now they have started to open . Is this typical ? In photos the flowers look quite big ! I imagine that it will still be an attractive tree when its grown to full maturity! I am at this stage a little disapointed .

I wonder if you can help me identify a self seeded plant which is growing near my bird feeder . It has heart shaped smooth edged leaves with pinkish white mutiple small headed flowers. It grows to around 2ft. and looks abit like valerian but is n't Valerian.I assume it has come from the wild bird seed.

Sorry to change subject but I was wondering if you could identify a plant for me .I have a plant with white slightly pink tinged small flowers and a heart shaped smooth edged leaf . It grows to about 2 ft. and it looks a little like Valerian? It is self sown and has grown right near the bird feeder so I think it arrived with the bird seed.

Who's afraid of varginia creeper

Virginia creeper is easy to grow but I am having a problem getting it to cling to my

brick wall. I don't think it is particularily invasive though!

Thankyou.
