All year plants

Posted: 11/04/2013 at 11:22

Our Mahonia Japonica is a good all-year round plant. It's flowered for the past 6-7 months (good for the bee's!), and should in the coming months have it's yearly crop of berries (which the birds love).

What type of Bamboo??

Fargesia Nitida is one we've just gotten to do the same thing on a north-facing fence. Looking at the pictures online it should do the trick, and give a tropical feel to the end of the garden.

I do enjoy these mystery plants (although I can rarely suggest anything!)

I agree with Nola and think the small one at the back is a Hebe but have no idea what the main one is.

You're just like me! I think it's a great way to learn though, and there are so many people on here who have such a vast fountain of knowledge that it'd be foolish to not try and learn something

Definately think the one at the back is a Hebe. I think the main one in question has the same foliage as a viburnum. I need to move one of the (possible) viburnum's at some point. Do they transplant ok?

I don't remember it flowering last year. Was worried it was just a weed and foolishly I had just let it grow. Any other ideas?

Sonic noise gun thing, and a hosepipe. Cats sorted (temporarily).

Had this plant in the garden for the last year, but still haven't figured out what it is. Any idea's? Bonus points if you can also identify the small plant near the back-right corner of the third photo (was a cutting we were given but can't remember what they said it was called!).

I look forward to all your suggestions!

Dry tips on house plants

Anyone knows why this happens? Currently our Japanese peace Lilly and our spider plant are affected. Both have healthy leaves when you feel them (and think I'm watering them enough)
