Trough's are very useful for growing most things on Paving (that's what we did anyway).

I do hope the weather improves. Just bought a 4-tier mini-greenhouse thing to out outside for the Chillie's, but no way am I using it until it's at a bare minimum of 10 oC

I agree with Sotongeoff. Not much point worrying too much at the moment. Set a plan of action in motion, then when it is a little warmer, feed, seed and rake the garden. Takes time, but it's worth it!

You could always switch some area's with different soil/compost then grow a wide varieties of plants (you can get large amounts of compost for quite cheap from certain places, like www.kebur.co.uk).
