I have recently taken on an allotment plot and unfortunately I have some bindweed underneath my soil and what I can only describe as spaghetti on top of the soil. I need to get rid of this before I can turn over the soil. I have tried glyosulphate (think that's the name) but obviously there are no leaves to put it onto so I have sprayed and painted it onto the spaghetti strands. Any help would be appreciated as I want to grow fruit and veg next year.
