I know you started yours inside--mine were sown in open ground, but they are all up. They are useful for filling gaps, and I like the leaves and flowers in salad. I was serving some local smoked salmon the other day and discovered I was out of capers--substituted pickled seeds, and they were a big hit!

I have discovered that Monarda is not deer-proof--luckily it is in a pot, so I will move it inside the fence. Must admit, I had my doubts--but it will recover. Deer aren't desperate yet--they just pruned it a bit.

Enjoyed all the lovely photos--and those strawberries look luscious. Mine are still hard and green--but the sun has opened my peonies at last.

It's going to rain tomorrow and the next day, so today I am going to work on construction. I have been given some free pallets, and I plan to experiment with making a verical garden using succulents for the sunny side and ferns,etc, for the shady one. The pallets are in place already, but could use a coat of stain.

Sunny and warm here---but rain tomorrow. Retirement lunch for a dear friend on Friday--but it will have to be inside,alas. Looking forward to crab cakes!

Repotted basil yesterday--amazing how many seedlings are in an 8" pot!

Gorgeous day here-finally. My visitors have gone to the beach after helping me hang the garden door/gate, leaving me to putter in the garden. Perfect!
