Life's too short for ironing!

I have two constantly shedding dogs. so the hoover gets a workout almost daily. Luckily this place is small!

Mesclun and spinach are up!!!

I used to iron my hair--but now the iron only comes out when I'm sewing!

As usual I am late to the party; hope there are some crumbs left!

What a lovely baby photo--brand new!

I have grown amaranth in pots for the lovely foliage--deep burgundy, and stunning with the sun behind it.Unusual flowers, and apparently you can eat the seeds as a grain. Don't know what variety--there are several kinds and colours. Am doing again this year-but early yet. Would get quite tall if planted in the ground.

Happy Groundhog Day, Forkers!

Apparently the winter is over, as the Canadian groundhogs didn't see their shadows, except on the other side of the country. They will have 6 more weeks.

Time to get stuck in preparing beds. Yesterday I gave my St John's Wort a drastic haircut--if I didn't do this annually it would take over the world!

Hello,Forkers---haven't posted for awhile, but have been keeping up. Still stuck in the gloom, misty but mild. Seed order came, so have started some globe artichokes and begun preparing greenhouse for seed sowing.

There are various lurgies circulating the island, so have been sticking close to home.

Wishing for sun!

Hello, Frivolous Forkers--guess you've all gone to bed.

Finished the bedroom today--new paint, new duvet cover, new cushions and curtains. Quite girly for a change--white walls and flowered curtains--lavender, pale blue and white. Very crisp and non-nicotine clean. Even the dog's beds got washed!

Off to television land--watching Vera later this evening. Can't remember whose books it is based on, but think I've read at least one. New Ian Rankin book for afters!

Morning, Frenetic Forkers from Far and Wide

Envy you the HK  but not the UK weather--a little sun here, but it will be short-lived.

I may groan at Geoff's jokes, but don't really agree with bumping him off--at least not yet. Do have a shotgun, though. No ammo, but he doesn't have to know that.

More painting today, have cleared off the bookshelves in readines,s and that's piled on the bed, so no turning back now!
