Hi Nutcutlet, thank you for your reply, I'm grateful as a beginner gardener for your advice.  The area, that is shady, does dry out a little in the summer, but it still remains moist.

I'm not sure if my comments can be seen.  I thought I maybe able to get advice and help from the more experienced gardener, but I seem not to be getting replies.  This is the 2nd time I have requested advice, but I have no responses.

I would like recommendation, on plants that would suit a wet/shady area.

Been a new gardener, I would like your advice on what plants will grow in a moist, shady area.  This part of the garden never gets any sun, and is always quite heavy soil, as it is wet

Can I also ask, which plants I can buy for a shade, moist part of a border.  I'm not knowledgable about planting, as I have only been gardening for a year

Hi, thank you for your response.  I have planted the Hydrangea, facing North East in a border, soil is heavy and clay like.  The weather since I've planted, has been heavy rain, and my been a little water logged at the moment, but we're I have planted normally has full sun... I may be able to get a pic later as been in the North East today, it is thundering at the mo.  I bought 3 of these, and only planted one in this place, the other two are still thriving.
