2012 being a Jubilee year I ordered Jubilee Petunias and had a cracking display in all 3 of my baskets . They were all plug plants and left to mature in the baskets until the end of june. The smallest one just fitted into the boot of my car to enter various local flower show durinf August and september. First prize each time.

I took this photo from the walled garden at Culzean Castle, South Ayrshire the other week and would like to know if it definatley a MONARDA. There were no plant labels in any of the beds there...tsk.

A very unusual flower, but I like it. Quite striking.

Guess the plant name..

Thank you Kate1123.

I have checked up on more details of this plant.  I shall pass the name onto my friend. They will be delighted to know its name at last.

I have a few cuttings of this plant which I have no idea what it is called. It appears to be evergreen. the stems are red/orange and spongy. When the stem is cut it oozes white sticky sap. No idea of flowers as it is from a friends front garden in open sunny position.

Dwarf narcissi Tete-a tete, Polyanthus, Euonymous, winter heather( just at the back ) ivy , but the winter pansies were poor ( mail order ) . I have 3 of these winter baskets hanging at the front of my house ( planted up last september) . A fairly good display despite the lack of pansies.
