Clematis not flowering

Posted: 13/06/2013 at 14:39

I've not grown a clematis before and have been given one by my son and taken cuttings from others I liked the look of last summer.

They are growing like mad but I cannot see any flower buds yet.

My son says to put some potash on them????

I don't know the varieties of either of the plants, anyone any ideas, thanks

Sounds interesting, must try to find the program on internet.  Talking about slimmy things, I went out after heavy rain this morning and picked up at least 20 snails sheltering from the rain on walls and plants. I guess they don't like the rain much either.

They only seem to love my Rosemary plants, have not found them on anything else

Say NO to slug food.

Slugs and snails do tend to spend the day under stones, logs, slabs, ivy and other plants.  I've taken to moving items to find them during the day aswell as going out after

dark with a torch, especially if its been raining as they move around more easily.

Good luck
