Peony help needed

Posted: 28/05/2014 at 13:36

Ta Dove, I have several "tree peonies" which were bought as such. I have never heard of "tree poppies" though. And yes, you can grow "tree peonies" from cuttings. I did a couple, but they are very slow to establish and grow. my cuttings are 4 years old and still small. I do not know if I am doing something wrong or if it is just the nature of the plant. Maybe that is why they are not cheap to buy, although a couple of years ago one of the big online retailers were giving them away  for just P&P in GW magazine. I received one as a pack of three. The other two were a magnolia and a hibiscus. They were sent as bare root plants and all are still alive.Younger form members with better memory might remember the offer, and you could enquire from the retailer.

What's this??

Well said Scott, constructive criticism is very useful but not the nastiness. It only reflects back on the person writing it.

Monty ......an idol Mark, I do not think so

This is an old girls' view, life is short and there is so much to do and enjoy. Why waste precious time and energy watching someone you don't like or bad mouth them.

I know this is a forum, but if we haven't anything nice to say, it's nicer not to say anything at all

I agree with you all, regarding it being a language issue. I thinki t is a cutural issue too. I grew up in a bussines family and the customer was always right, as he paid for our bread and butter.Amazons is the same too, and they haven't done badly. Besides, we were always reminded that being harsh and defensive with people was unproductive.

The less said the better. Stick to the problem in question.Lecturing is not appropiate in this incident.

I  have obviously led a VERY sheltered life and it is time to crawl out from under my coconut shell.

So, I have taken all your comments on board but still cannot get my head around the fact that he is charging for the product and I am not asking for charity. I am asking for what I paid for.

Obviously it is time to move on. So cheers
