Lucky you, i would give my eye teeth to have one. I have spent some money trying to grow one with no success what so ever. If it is invasive, restrict it in a large pot.

I had the same experience.I did not even bother to contact them as I have had problems in the past. But I feel that GW should take issue with them as it leaves us out of pocket with the P&P that we sent them.

Bad service, bad plants beware!

You are lucky Mark, I had trouble with "the garden  centre group" big time.

I ordered plugs in APRIL and despite several e-mails did not get any delivery time. Finally, following my stroppy email I was told that they could not fulfil my order!! Instead, could I go to there centre. If I could do that would I order on line? Besides, they are  still advertising the service on line as "click and collect" or by post. Very poor customer service indeed.

Bad service, bad plants beware!

Have had problems with PARKERS too, poor quality plants and it was implied that it was my mishandling of plants.

T&M are bad too, i ordered VEBENA plants, waited ages and when I inquired in JUNE was told no plants till SEPTEMBER!! I wanted them for this summer!

Another firm called PLANT ME NOW send me some sad looking plants and when I emailed them they havent bothered to respond yet!! This was in May!

I am back to my local GC, pity I don't have transport but do beware, as prices of plants have gone up considerably.

JERSEY PLANTS and Crocus are excellent though choice is limited.

I am surprised that GW recomend PARKERS and T&M.

Get thrifty

Hi, I save the clear discs that come with spools of CD and DVD containers used for recording on them they make excellent Brassica collars and do not show when in situ.

Save your teabags and use them to line pots and hanging baskets. They hold water and disintergrate into the compost.

Use your empty plastic bottles as "hot water bottles". I fill them with waste water and place them around my courgette plants. They get warm in the sun and keep the plants warm at night.

Garden Hoses

Hi Maureen, coiled hoses are a nightmare. you don't have to be a driver to acquire a  tyre rim. Try your local motor garage or tyre dealer

GW Presenters

I have watched and enjoyed GW for more than 50 years(except when TB and AF did a double act for an HOUR in a pretend garden in such a patronising manner!!)

At least MD is in a REAL garden and not so in your face and condescending like some others. Also, his side kick is SOOO handsome!

The BBC has ALWAYS compromised and sidelined us gardeners as they feel that there are less of us and  that we are old and will not make a fuss. They forget that we pay a licence fee too. It is pointless complaining as they do not take notice and threaten to prosecute  if we withhold our licence fees.

Compared to SPORTS coverage we get far less airtime yet they make a big issue of giving us comprensive cover of the Chelsea Flower Show. Obviously gardening programs do not make them as much money as sports programmes do. But hey, who said that fairness counts? Those who shout the loudest always get what they demand.
