Golden hops plant

Posted: 27/11/2013 at 20:50

Hi Nikki7, I agree with you, he is quite a thug and will grow anyyyyyywhere!! I have one covering a fence in a shady corner and it really lights it up. The little birds loves the seeds and the delicate brackets are pretty. It is no different than other easy growing plants.

My other one clambers up the pergola and together with a trumpet vine, a grape vine and a passion vine gives me a lovely shady area to sit underneath and watch the little birds twittering over head. What I do do yearly is to cut away the vines in the spring, as by then the seeds are all gone too and tidies it up.

Oh Forester2, it doesn't matter, J will do. Lucky you, what a beautiful part of the world you live in, I hope you are enjoying it. I have lived here for 38 years, a stones' throw from the downs with acres of greenery, protected orchids, crested newts etc. I was so busy bringing up the family that I saw littleof it. But since I retired 5 years ago, I have made up for it big timeSo, enjoy!

Hi Forester2, you can rename me if you like, I'll still respond to  you!

Thanks Dove, i have PM'd Daniel regarding theissues in question but have heard nothing. He is obviously busy, but I did want to get to the "followed threads" and had asked you to help. I have not been getting response E-mails either. I have checked the Settings etc.......I'm sure it will be sorted out in time.

Dream on Marty......if only life was that easy. But there ARE nice, kind people around too. Life has taught me that if I carry on treating people like I want to be treated, some do respond kindly while others do take advantage  But I do not take it personally. Besides, they are so sad that they can only see negative things. It may sound cheesy but it is my way of coping with such behavour. Also, on Forums, being anonymous gives such weak people power to hurt others.
