Help needed: Trying to identify a flower

Hi Hopeful, they are going into dormancy now and your plant is probably OK. They are very forgiving and do survive neglect. In fact, like "Peace Lilies" they soon let you know when they need watering by wilting and looking dead! But rapidly perk up when watered from below, as suggested. This should be easy to observe ,as I get the impression that

the plant in question is in your work place. Anyway, good luck 

Regarding your question Ryan, being single flowers the answer is yes but I do not know if there are any bees and butterflies active in winter, as this is when they flower generally. I could be wrong.

I agree with you HH, besides, September is hardly the time to be able to "...plant in the green(recommended) ; as by then the bulbs are going into dormancy. These mail order retailers are taking us for a ride. What applauds and surprises me even more is that GWM is encouraging them by participating with them.

I'd hold fire Kayfersmum, most of them are lovers of mild climes.  Besides, there is snow and -5C in Surrey and they wont like it!

This scam(esp. T&M) was highlighted last spring too. They get rid of their inferior plants, thousands of them this way. Supermarkets and GC sell them cheaper than the P&P !!

A friend tried ordering the Begonia pack for baskets and was told they were out of stock! In March? When are they going to be in stock-June.The mind boggles, as long as we keep ordering them ,they will keep on coning us.

I know what you mean Brumbull,My GH is full to the rafters too, most of us dream of BIGGER GHs as they are NEVER big enough

On the subject of the cost of MDs new GH.........bet it cost a fraction of what Linaker picks up eh? Besides, as mentioned, CK MUST have cost etc. of her garden included in her contract too! She isn't doing it for nothing. Nor does JS.

I have no truck with as to a degree, he is controlled by the producers etc. and EDITING does change the way a programme comes over. I know he has a BIG garden, "ESTATE"as mentioned; but he can hardly make miniature paths etc. Maybe we with small gardens(mine is) could adapt to suit.

I do not think having a DEGREE equips you with the talent to be able to put over well what you are trying to describe. Too many harsh things are being said about him, esp. as he cannot defend himself. I rest my case risking being "ignored" and reprimanded!! Meanwhile, I look forward to seeing the tall vines, grapes maybe, which he will be growing in the GH!!
