Decorative Stones = Wet Garden

Posted: 04/02/2014 at 10:22

Hi

I want to change my soggy lawn for decorative stones. The garden is nearly always wet leaving the lawn like a bog. I live in a rural area so get lots of leaves in the winter too. What is the best way to go about laying stones? I know I have to kill off the lawn first but I am not sure of the best weed barrier to use under the stones to let rain through.

I shall definitely be giving this a try tomorrow, my neighbours cat is driving me mad.

Hi Heliotrope thanks for your advice, do you have any suggestions as to what variety would give best results, I do like the double size flowers but I have onl;y come across those in trailing types.

Hi I am new to the forums, so I apologise in advance if this topic has been raised before. I would like to grow a standard fuschia having only grown trailers before. Is it possible to grow a standard from a trailing variety?

Cheers
