Sorry for not responding sooner!  I can be a bit lax with watering probably because living in Cheshire we never have too many days without rain, i guess it could be too much sun, i have had the same problem in previous years hence why i keep moving it round the garden to different spots tho wherever i put it it has been in some sun.  Guess i'll wait to find a new spot next year.  Thanks for your comments much appreciated!

Will chicken wire keep moles out of raised beds?

sorry don't know the answer to getting rid of these little critters, but would love to know how to stop them digging up the soakaways from our septic tank, it gets very expensive having to have them dug up, re-lined and re filled only to find all the gravel back on top where they've dug it up!  My husband says he hopes they get septiceamia (sorry about the spelling)

My Acer seems to do this every year, with the leaves turning brown and dying off, thought it might be wind burn so have moved it to a more sheltered spot (it's in a pot) but still happens. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Hats off to Mr Fothergills seeds, i e-mailed them about 3 packets of seed which hadn't had a very high germination rate (Osteospermum, Cosmos and Bergamot) and they kindly sent me 3 replacement packets of seed.  Maybe too late to re-try for this year but will keep for next year  Always good to receive good customer service.

Thank you both for that, think i'll wait until it warms up a bit (if it ever does)! Good idea to leave some of them still in the original pot just in case. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks again
