Hi
I have a very old stove which burns scrap wood in the day (needs constant attention otherwise goes out, and a few bits of coal to keep it going thro the night).
The chimney is vented to the outside, minimal cost, maximum return.
A safety guard is necessary to safeguard young children.

Hi
I have tried over a number of years to save tubers from 1st year trailing begonias
With zero success, dry them, remove compost etc, store in a cool dry place, all to no avail, any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Bev,
Very nice, did you manage to overwinter or store the corms to grow again this year,as matter of interest where do you buy your rosebuds.

Hi swisssue,

I also like trailing begonias (peaches and cream) sold by most of the online/seed catalogue companies which produce a mass of flowers and stunning baskets all summer long, the small corms can with care be dried and stored in the autumn to be used again year after year, or for what they cost just buy new.

John

Hi Geoff

Thanks for the advice, the window gets direct sunlight in the morning only, and the room is pretty warm, hope you are right about the sun light.

Thank you

Hi Geoff,

They are in a very light spot do you think they need to be moved, and will they recover or are they lost.
Thanks for your assistance, appreciated.
