I have four cats Tootles, all rescues. This is Fudge but it's an old photo - she's quite an old lady now.

Hello,  I think your plant is a Chinese Hibiscus. I have one that's similar .

Here's mine.

If you feed it regulary, you should have flowers for most of the year.

Clematis plants in containers

Posted: 02/03/2014 at 15:17

I have several clematis growing in pots, Mine seem to do well.

This is Crystal Fountain last year,

I've underplanted it with violets and top dress it every Spring. Other than feeding, no special treatment,

Can anyone identify this plant please ?

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the late reply, it is Pachira aquatica.

Think I let it get a little too hot last Summer as it lost some of it's leaves but it's come back with a vengence now !

Definitely not a Money plant - I've got one of those, ( not that it brings me any money )

Thanks for replying everyone.

Strange fungus in house plant.

Thanks for replying Waterbutts. It is no more, I've removed it now as I didn't want it spreading its spores any further.

It's a relief to know it's not poisonous but I expect it will pop up again next year so will re-pot the plant and see if I can get rid of the spores that are in the compost

I was concerned about it damaging the plant as it's over 30 years old and would hate to lose it - I don't know anything at all about fungus

Feel better about it now,

Thanks. .

Strange fungus in house plant.

I discovered this yesterday growing in my umbrella tree , Would really like to know what type of fungus it is and how it got there as this plant has never been outside. Does anyone think it could be poisonous ? Will don the marigolds to remove it , just in case. Don't like it.

Thanks in advance,

using ash from wood and brickettes in the garden

I burn incense sticks and use the ash from them for my Hibiscus. I used to plonk the sticks in the tub and noticed it seemed to be a lot more healthy and had bigger flowers.

So i carried on.

Afties all  Sun is still struggling to come through the clouds here. No where near as nice as the last few days but still dry.

Jo, hope you're feeling better soon . I've never had sciatica but my friend suffers badly with it.

Try and have a rest today.

Bjay - you are following in Jo's footsteps - Don't do too much. Watch the foot.

Could never train my OH, Dove - just boss him around. Don't trust him near my plants.
