Chris - my Taccas have come  Have you potted yours ? If so did you use orchid compost ?

The instructions on mine say not to pot until end of April

Sorry, good evening everyone.

Just excited about my new arrival.

Acers

This is my 50p bargain Acer Orange Dream from Wilko's. I haggled with them because it didn't have any leaves and they didn't know it was deciduous !

On the subject of Acers, I tried to link my post from last year on here but the site wouldn't let me. I damaged the roots last year of my Palmatum and was advised to leave it until this year to see if it would recover. Just been checking it and it still looks poorly . To be honest I thought it was dead but some of the bark is still green . There's no sign of any buds and some of the branches have gone very pale and white-ish, Should I leave it a bit longer or have I lost it ?

Thanks,

Jean.

This is the first forum I've ever joined (me being a wimp ) but have to say as of late it seems to have become more of one of those social networking sites .

I appreciate that some people enjoy a bit of banter but have you seen just how many threads are on there now totally unrelated to gardening? I'm thinking of starting a Good Afternoon Forkers Thread. Why not ? We've got the Morning one and the Evening one.

We've already had a thread for general chitchat which anyone could join. It wasn't a clique, a club or for exclusive membership only - it was for everyone .

I for one cannot be bothered with the constant sniping and ridiculous threads that are being posted.  I agree with Glyn - lifes too short.

(And so's the gardening season. )

Hi Bjay  Glad you don't have to go back to hospital with your foot. My friend had a knee op a while ago and was also told that it would never be as good as what it was but now she's running around like a Spring chicken.

Maybe in due time it will be a little better if you don't do too much.

Sausage buttie then off to friends.

what jobs done over easter.

Jet washed all the patio - well OH did. I washed all pots , transplanted some bits and pieces into my new border where we have installed a new water feature and lobbed all pot feet and garden ornaments in dishwasher.

Weather was kind for once so had a lovely few days in the sunshine. Looking forward to getting it planted once the weather warms up. All babies coming along nicely.

Morning everyone.  We've just had a snow shower ! Now it's gone back to being lovely and sunny - very odd.

Late visit from Grandson and girlfriend last night so not really ''with it'' yet. No big plans as of yet but will take advantage of the sunshine.

Please don't come back , snow.

Typical  Finally got motivated outside and spent a few hours digging and pottering under a grey chilly sky. The minute I get in , the sun's cracking the flags.

Lovely evening here.

Afties,  Admiring my nice clean patio after yesterday's efforts but it's gone cold again today. Hard to get motivated at the mo but keep telling myself I'll give it another hour.

Yesterday was lovely - picked a good day.

Sitting here doing nothing.

I need some inspiration.

Off to start on cleaning patio now.

Morning Chris  No , taccas still haven't arrived. Think I may send an e-mail.

Don't suppose an Easter egg counts as breakfast ?
