Inka -  I am so envious. What a beautiful bird.   We have a sparrowhawk that appears from time to time but would love to see one of those land on my back fence. Don't think the longtails would be impressed though.

Hows the patches going ?

Evening and nighty night Dean.

A bit of a mixed bag today - coq au vin and coccyx  Poor old Dan - That sounds really painful. Hope the road to recovery isn't a long one.

Didn't get round to potting anything today as we were late coming home so am having a little play on here. Had lunch out but feel a need for a little something.

Cake springs to mind.

Morning forkers   Been a very slight snowfall overnight here but not much to write home about. Felt a great need for tea so am sitting in conservatory admiring yesterdays efforts. A tad on the achy side today . Good practice for the events yet to come.

At the risk of being ex- communicated I would like a little rain shower today - just to settle the plants in that I moved yesterday. Come to think of it, my rainwater supply is running a little low.

That's a first.

We are off visiting today and later may or may not pot up some Mont Blanc lillies.

Have a good day everyone.

Sounds like you had a good time Caz . Love looking at old churches. Greek ones are spectacular - very ornate . The last one we saw was in Yorkshire in Mythalmyriod ( excuse spelling ) bit of a mouthful that.

How on earth did those stones end up in Stonehenge ?

Dan - nothing to serious I hope. haven't heard from you for ages.

Don't blame you Lottie - nothing beats your own bed.

Hmmm, Brandy and hot chocolate . Might have to try that.

We are having a late tea due to the fact I got carried away outside and forgot to put the baked potatoes in  lamb steaks, cheesy mushrooms and green beans followed by a small medicinal brandy to warm me up

Bjay - I could just eat a roast.  With group 2 , I usually just give them a little trim to keep the shape in Feb - don't prune too much though or you may lose the flowers. Had to trim Nelly a little more than I wanted to as a certain person stood on the top of it but I'll let him off as he has worked hard today.

I've never made a boiled fruit cake Pam, but have got a recipe somewhere for one that is made with cold tea.

Off to pop the mushrooms in

Glyn , I am but I have never felt so cold in my life  I was determined to get it done today. It's going to be my bumble bee border so am really looking forward to getting it planted.

Think I need cake but will wait until after tea.

I HATE honeysuckle root.  not that I'm having that for tea.!
