Afties,  had a few hours out and went to GC - in fact 2 . I restrained myself and came home with just a bag of potting on compost as I ran out. Then went to Cosco for goodies and cat food so still haven't potted on babies .

Glad to see the burner's sorted Bjay.

Heating on here - it only got to 2 today.

Just waiting for roasties . We're also having pork. Must be the day for it.

WEATHER this week

Thinking back , I can remember it snowing in April once but nothing like this.

I've also seen the forecast . Looks like we are in for a baltic Easter.

SNOW!

I agree.   Had a to-do list for the weekend before OH went back to work. Needed some stone moving in the rockery for a small water feature which we've swapped from another border . The other one still needs electrical work doing as well so that's on hold . Still haven't divided the snowdrops - can't even see them at the moment

Just been potting on and playing with seeds indoors. Definitely not the same.

Think I'm developing cabin fever.

Morning  We haven't had any more snow overnight but it's baltic out there . Roads clear thanks to snow plough but it's not thawed much at all .

Spent yesterday afternoon pricking out a lot of babies and I'm now rapidly running out of room . Thought I'd been very good this year and only sowed a few seeds out of each packet but judging from what's germinated , I must have given them an extra shake.

More to do today, Sweet Sultan and Rudbeckia. Also set some spider asters off yesterday and some more cosmos.

Good haul Andy  Aldi also have some good plug plants in at the mo.

Off to feed the birds. Catch you all later.

Puts my shopping expedition to shame . Goldi - didn't even buy any plants as it was too cold to walk around

Caz, Love that little duck - are you feeling any better ? Hope so.

Flo - you must be freezing . I've only been out for half an hour and it's baltic out there.

Hope you did well on the stall to make up for it.

Geoff - you can have every bit of mine. Hate the stuff. All my plans been put on hold - again.

Birds.

Posted: 23/03/2013 at 14:29

Just topped up the bird table with some more mealworms and have just seen four robins . Sure there will be a big scrap in a bit.

The mistle thrush has been back as well , always a treat to see him/her.

One good thing about the snow (probally the only one ). I get to see a lot more birds.
