Geoff - you can have every bit of mine. Hate the stuff. All my plans been put on hold - again.

Birds.

Posted: 23/03/2013 at 14:29

Just topped up the bird table with some more mealworms and have just seen four robins . Sure there will be a big scrap in a bit.

The mistle thrush has been back as well , always a treat to see him/her.

One good thing about the snow (probally the only one ). I get to see a lot more birds.

Bjay - just been looking at your begonias on the other thread . Yours are massive , mine are just breaking bud . Hope that doesn't mean mine aren't going to grow well.

Sausage and egg buttie here  Just came back from garden centre - snow ploughs been out so roads pretty clear now . OH drove - not me. Nothing exciting , just a blokey bit for water feature that won't be getting sorted today.

Very easy to do Bunny - I make them all the time for people - will post a photo of mine when it's up and running.

There is a photo of mine somewhere on this site from last year.

Not again ! Are you going to share ?

May be a bit of a thaw going on here - big dollops falling from everywhere

Just fed all houseplants and watered babies . Have to do indoor gardening today. More seed sowing and going to pot on some cosmos.

Some great pics of the snow on here but still don't like it.

Weekend 22 March

Posted: 22/03/2013 at 12:54

Back from shops - it's horrendous out there .  Wind picking up and howling through ( the back passage !! )  but snow's stopping . Everywhere turning slushy so hopefully it'll be gone soon.

Can't see me doing much outsisde at the weekend . All this snow 's got to go somewhere so everywhere will be like a bog but I expect some folk have had it worse so should be grateful really.

Not a pond , Obelixx . We 're just installing a little waterfeature in the rockery as we've got a bigger one for the bumblebee border which I've planned.

Hot chocolate required - I'm freezing.
