semi sun/shade...reasonably sheltered but how can you protect from frost as it gets everywhere.. ha haaa

mine is hardy but only grow to around 5/6ft... maybe I should cut it down slightly & then I will get a flower...

Can I start a holly hedge with bareroot plants?

I had a holly which I snapped off small piece & just pushed into ground to see what happened & it did take

query.. I saved seed last year of dwarf runners..so why this year when planted did they all turn into high climbers..

every time I have taken cuttings I try putting them in unheated green hse or kitchen windowsill..they die.. or rot off or get leggy... tried for yrs & yrs..
so now I dont bother.. any advice for a mature person who cannot over winter things...

thanks for all advice plus links... I grow in gr/hse every year & have super dupa crops.. but guess it was all down to weather... Grn/hse is usually all open in summer etc..
