I wonder if anyone has same problem as me.. 2yrs ago got rid of pond with frogs in.. bad move.. did`nt realise what a wonderful job they do... we must over the last 6wks killed over 200 slugs..very big orange ones too... lost count with snails.. I would have no flowers or veg if we did`nt go out most nights with our torch.... dwarf runners in gr/hse are fine but outside all but one have vanished...we do have a home made water feature full of big stones.. to my amazement there is a frog living in it so am now thinking of doing a small sunken large pot with just rain water in & hopefully get more frogs back into the garden..what plants do well at keeping it clear in stagnant water...

does same go for marrows/cougettes... have lovely plant in g/hse but flowers fall off...

Bad service, bad plants beware!

I am stopping using them... plants in plugs are usually too wet with flies in plus last order was supposed to have 24 plugs of busy lizzie but they have turned out to be petunias...most annoying..

you mention weedkiller for this problem but what if you have veg growing there.. is it safe or does it need to be a vacant plot to use weed killer

Name that plant!

me too.. was well happy to see the green flowers.. I have seen another growing beside it.. plus plenty seed pods so am going to leave them to do what nature does best..

not seen my garden soo full of stuff this time of the year.. the rain has made everything sprout up.. I have flowers/veg & this year have just planted a sunburst cherry plus a grape vine under out what I call a lean too.. not covered in but sheltered.. have to let you know how they do.. thats if the birds dont get cherries 1st.. ha haa

sorry but I hate year I stood in the kitchen watching one poke its beak into my blue tits nest box & one by one tear a leg off the baby & drop them to the ground..
For 3yrs I`ve had no blue tits but this year have 2 families nesting in boxes...which makes a delightful change as I have noticed great tits taking over..lovely to see their little blue heads again..

I too love lilies... keeping an eagle eye is a must..simular to Tim Burr..I use an old jam jar to knock them into & close the the jar is small amount vinegar & salt...with bit of water.. placing the jar outside & leaving it until I need it again..eventually throwing it away..
Used to make me angry when they dropped off & I missed them.. I dont anymore...
