Talkback: How to sow seeds outdoors

I started mine off in a shed (I dont have a greenhous,,,yet) I planted them in the garden on Fridy, they are in a sheltered area though. They seem fine. If you do plant them and there is a frost risk, just cover them with some garden fleace

Evening all.

its been interesting reading the posts. This is my first posting so I hope not to bore you all. We have recently moved to a nehose use with a nice sized garden. It is laid to lawn which is very mossy. We've scarified & treated it and its looking better. There is much to do, all of the shrubs are overgrown and need cutting right back.

Im so looking forward to getting this done.

When do you prune forsythia and how far back can you take it? We have just moved to a new house and the shrub boarder is out of control, taking up almost 8ft all around the garden. I don't want to kill the forsythia but we have 4 huge ones and would like to shrink them ddown thank you

I use the feeder as shown below at amazon. I think they are good and you can put a good

variety of food for all the birds. I have however removed the water as this gets dirty weary quickly.

I replaced it with an old sieve and fill that with seed.
