Bramble nightmare

Thanks Chris. I actually just went through the lot with my electric tiller and that seems to have brought up quite a lot.

Would that work with the millions of little bramble shoots that I have coming up too?

I'm worried it might poison the soil.

Hi guys,

I've recently cleared away approx. 20sqm of dead shrubs only to find I have a complete bramble root system running through the area. How on earth do I get rid of it without killing off any trees or plants that are also in the area?

Digging it up is hopeless, there's too much and I disturb other roots.

It's driving me bonkers!!!

Cheers,

Jo

Ant invasion

Hi guys,

I'm going out of my mind with ant nests in my driveway. As fast as i put ant powder on one nest they start another somewhere else. Every morning I have new piles of sand appearing and it's driving me nuts.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Jo

Half dead trees

Thanks for that Buttercup. I'm definitely going to grow something else there but in the meantime I will try tidying up the trees and I've got plenty of compost so I shall see how I get on.

 Hi guys,

Yesterday I cut back an extremely overgrown shrub that I have inherited only to find the surrounding trees are all brown and dried out at their bases where the shrub had been. Can I do anything to bring those parts back to life?

Cheers,

Jo

Entomosporium leaf spot

Posted: 27/11/2014 at 07:45

Hi Mike, I inherited this tree 3 years ago so I don't know the history but since we've been here there's been a bumper crop each year but the pears are inedible.

Thanks Flowering Rose, when is the best time to spray?

Entomosporium leaf spot

Hello everyone,

I have a pear tree that suffers from Entomosporium leaf spot. What's the best way to treat it? Either naturally or chemically.

Thanks

Jo

Spraying my cherry tree

Is there anybody else out there who maybe has used a chemical spray? I'd like to look at both options.
