hi i bought female only cucumber plants this year, neednt worry about taking off male flowers! i have loads of cucumbers but for the last 3/4 weeks they have been 2 inches long and pencil thin! no growth whatsoever and some now rotting off. what am i doing wrong?? i also hav brown patches coming on all tomato stems, not soggy but surely not good! whats that all about?? you guys always give me good answers, good luck this time  Jo

we are south east so no heavy late frosts but yep i think i agree with all of you, mother nature has intervened, and we wont have fruit this year  thanks again for all your replys, jo

Hi guys, u were so helpfull last time ive got another query for u. i have an old apple tree i inherited 4 years ago, we have had bumper crops every year. we had blossom this year but have no apples! it needs pruning but dont think this is the problem. do you think its having a rest? look forward to your views, jo

Hi thanks everyone. have spoken to RHS this morning and think they are fungus gnat larvae, millions of them so not possible to just squash them unfortunately!

hi im relatively new to greenhouse gardening, i have just found tiny transparent caterpillars with black heads on my tomatoe pots. does anyone have a clue what they are and wot to do with them? jo
