What's for tea?

Posted: 29/10/2012 at 18:35

Monday's tea always macaroni cheese over cauliflower & grilled with extra cheese & toms on top.

Used to work regular Mondays so needed to have somethiong could assemble without thinking. Tonight, definitely not thinking & have forgotten to add the cheese to the white sauce before I added the cooked pasta, use penne normally, & poured the whole over the cooked cauli! So have put a lot of cheese on top & grilled it anyway, there was noway I could rescue it......... Should still tase fine though she says.... J.

I's back for a bit.

Did I do spare room sort out? No, but all the ironing got done whilst watching a prog about Mallory & Irving probably climbing Everest in' 24. Always loved those tales- avidly read Tenzings' book when young.

Am whacked now though- blasted lack of energy- so shall collapse for about 30mins before assemble meal. J.

My hair was/is soft & curly & various shades of grey, so my biggest nightmare was if it came back black & straight!

Chores going v e r y slowly, but really need to disappear into spare room to start the sort out!! At least the sun has arrived so will be warm in there. It's one of those chores that have been left, like w/end homework, but if I dont sort in there I wont have anywhere to plonk stuff from airing cupboard, which needs emptying so boiler can go in there.... still to start ironing too....

Back later. J.

You'll NEVER get me on a boat willingly again! Very seasick, even in harbour!!

There's snow in the Austrian village we visit- very pretty. Now have finished all my Milka that I brought back.......

Ok, dishwasher sorted, now to wrap up to go down to compost bin with kitchen veg waste. Postie been with yet another parcel for daughter & letter post came ages ago, which is most unusual. J.

Scratching post for some animal/cat perhaps? BTW leaves are dying back now anyway, so that's normal, unless the stem scratches are deep enough to have damaged the internal parts? J.

What's the weather like in your area?

I always make a mistake of leaving OH to pay & tip. I never learn, he has no grasp of the value of foreign currency!! Luckily cafe people do question him to 'did he really intend to give that much?'!

Right some chores await & then the ironing to daytime tv! J.

Kate- glad things improving. No, dont agree with you re 'just a cold/flu' they can be much more 'grotty making' for a short time. I wasnt a happy bunny last w/end!

Re my situation, just a moaner these days, but actually fed up as been grotty with one thing & another for 12mths now. Have a course to go on later this month called 'Moving On' & yes I need it!! Actually have been seriously ill 2x before so I've had enough.... see am moaning again! Shall fully participate in any discussions!

If OH & daughter ruffle my hair one more time.....grr. It's actually fluffy & sticking up/out in all directions & curling again! Not quite long enough yet to comb, but getting there.

Still only 1 pot of germinating sweetpeas, but hope yet for others... J.

Morning all. Family all gone. Peacful here, until washer sings to me.

Ironing didnt get done after all- Hollie H I know, I know, but some hings do need doing. I have adopted daughter's tip of quick get from tumbler, shake & hang, but OH does this for his shirts at 'the little house' & you can tell!

Do small fungii growing from houseplant pot count? Shows how c**p these 'new' composts are. 'stillconfusedfrommanchester'

Blast, OH got remote again!!

Have eaten too much, own fault, but I didnt have 2 puddings, unlike some others around here!

Really need to do some ironing, but just cant get motivated........ J.
