Oh we won then?

Not a footie, nor hat person either. Only possess 1 dress, & it still fits, hope it still does after all the munching have done today! That's for the wedding next month. BTW daughter banned me from getting that jacket! Her comments not repeatable.

This little notebook had another 'wobbly' earlier. Wouldnt turn off- not go to standby- actually off. Much bad language, then decided to allow battery to almost die & it finally obeyed my instructions! Now this could be famous last words......

Geoff, 1600, big by my standards. My 1400 in a small body pretty nippy enough for me. J.

I'd be inclined to repot it into a slightly, only, bigger pot, with fresh compost to allow it to gain some nutition. Ok, it'll be unlikely to flower even next year, but at least you know that it's got some substance in the pot rather than nothing. Then a couple of years on it'll flower. J.

Must have a bigger engine/ be less 'ecco friendly' than mine then Geoff, mine wasnt that much £135, did this morning.

We had an unexpected shower, heavy too, last evening so plans to do lawn today were abandoned amid much swearing. Yep, still wet grass this morning, but just now it's dry enough to do! So off to get into garden scruffs & do the cut, then tomorrow dont just have to get car out when not planning to go anywhere. J.

What's the weather like in your area?

Had an unexpected short sharp shower of rain mid evening yesterday! None had been forecast. Grass was still wet this morning, so abandoned plans to do lawn today.

Just now have been & checked & it's dry enough to do a cut- car still out after doing errands earlier, so easy to get mower out of garage.

Some sun out there, but quite a few dark clouds over to the west. Must get a move on. J.

Yes, mine also were grown from seed.

Doesnt explain the new plant though that has appeared at the edge of a flower bed though- I'd obviously thought it was a potentilla. J.

I saw our resident/visiting hog early yesterday morning! My shriek of excitement meant it scuttled off rather quickly!

We've no holes at the bottom of our fences, but have an alleyway next to us, which is totally unkempt, that leads to open scrub/woodland behind us. I regularly find 'poo' along the route it must take- just about next to where I get out of my car after reversing it out of the garage!

Am hoping that the slug population will soon subside a bit....... J.

Biennials stay, slugs permitting, as small plants eg foxgloves over the winter months & then flower the next year. J.

David, TAPS has a 'sort out' every so often I believe. Geoff could do with some masculine support around here.

Parcel turned up just before 6pm! Van came up road, which usually means he tried the other house first.

If London wasnt so far south I'd join in the tented village 'do', but shall be glued to tv or radio for 2 weeks- ooh daughter got some hol next week, so must hide remote! J.

Geoff- no sign of the voucher! Paper wheely bin got done last week, so...... I still think it'll turn up with OH's stuff. It could easily have got knocked/blown down onto the floor where a pile of his paperwork was lurking......btw I did check in the wheely bin as best I could before it went- have a long-handled grabber, very useful.

Am still waiting for that parcel!! Hope that they didnt try down the road, same number 4 doors away. Shall not be best pleased. It's a dehumidifyer- half price in sale & cheaper than on Amazon! We have a cold wall, despite cavity insulation & still get some problems with rooms that side.So after some muttering again earlier this year, when still cold outside, I decided to get another one- had in past.

I did sit outside though, until all sun disappeared, & enjoyed reading.

Amended/added to tesco, after a quick rethink on menu. Any mutters from daughter & I'll scream!! J.

Hi all.

Lottie am soo jealous- when suggested for me was met with flat refusal- but glad that you all had a great time.

Am stuck inside on a nice sunny day waiting on a large parcel delivery guarenteed for today & has been dispatched. Hmm, note on door perhaps?

OH phoned to say he'd taken a 2cnd cauliflower! Drat, that was for daughters' & my tea! Why couldnt he look in the carrier first AND I'd told him that his was in there- we got 2 really nice ones on saturday. Now am stuck for tonight.......

Neighbour has spoken to boss of workmen & put them/him straight. Our door, after me doing it yesterday, isnt too bad, but hers' is, despite the plastic covering it. As long as no workmen set foot on our property I dont care what they do to her side.

Now where is a sheet of paper for a note? J.
