No idea what the boiler been up to! It was good this lunchtime...... Unlike the bedroom radiator at 'little house', noisy thing!

No, OH had another kidney stone- sharpintake of breath- which once you've had, you dont forget, even after 20+yrs. Treatment slightly different this time, but maybe, just maybe, he'll drink more liquid & actually go to the GP.......

Have found yet another nice cafe/coffee shop cum bakery over there.... oh s*d eating sensibly. J.

Oh quite a normal few days then?

What's the weather like in your area?

Was damp first thing in NEast Derbyshire this morning, which I was very glad about. It'd snowed a bit yesterday late afternoon & the gritters were out late on.

I wasnt looking forward to the drive back over the tops to Manchester. Neednt have worried, just dull & damp, with some lying snow on the fells. Manchester was a wee bit brighter, slight breeeze. Have risked some washing out to blow a bit. About 5-6C at the mo. J.

Phone call Jo??-is this the flippin boiler again-the one that your said others were sorting

Yep, boils (sorry) down to moi as per usual! B thing been as good as gold this evening after the lunchtime concert!!

Becks you did well not to spend any more!

Meal going to be easy this evening. I made far too much cauli/mac cheese t'other night- well the cauli was deceptively big - so it's that with a veggie rissole each. No doubt daughter will pour us both a glass of vino & I'll end up asleep on sofa.

Have taken some more painkillers, along with a chewy bar, so am comfy again. Somehow, along with the weather forecast, I shant be doing any gardening up at daughter's this w/end, unless sciatica settles. Please remind me of that when I stagger around next Monday!

I did say I'd clean the windows there after they finish the painting- hmm. Needed something to do whilst waiting on a delivery for her next week. Again it'll depend on muscles etc.

It's brightening up out there now, but was very drab this morning & cold.

Wind is increasing, so some washing out there may dry a wee bit after all. About 5-6C at the mo. J.

No idea Bunny- bet Geoff will though.

Had some retail 'sort of therapy' this morning in that it was a stock shop of Boots toiletries, Holland & barrett & M&S food. Ok I had my coffee as usual, mooched around the home section in M&S & got a cheap quilt for our spare bed.

Boiler totally quiet this morning, but not when I got back & put heating on! Engineer out, so he may call me back (?!) or I shall send him an e-mail later on. Am around all day tomorrow so......

Hard luck with Asda Lottie. Never used them myself, but have used Tesco monthly since Jan 08 with only one problem delivery, which was promptly sorted out. Yes, IME they will carry boxes to wherever you want things. That was very good when was ill.

Jean I never associated you with Dallas & I can remember JR & all the goings on. Havent tried to watch the latest series as wouldnt be the same.

Right, off to do some mid-week chores. Painkillers & smelly muscle rub this morning & leg a lot more comfy. J.

I'm around now.

Just run that cleaner Geoff suggested & so far so good. Very quick to do as well. This site was soooo slow yesterday but much better today- ? site or my pc I wondered, hence the 'clean up'.

Still to catch up though. Back later. J.

Karen you can get specific nematodes for VW control. Try local GC or on-line suppliers. That may be easier for you in that it saves having to remember to regularly spray.

This yr, after 2 yrs without, am resuming using Nemaslug nematodes again for my slug infested garden. J.
