Becks, yes, I too have a 'tame' mechanic, who only lives up the road nowadays. He's kept most of our cars going over the yrs, once the warrenty finished etc. Think he's sort of retired now, so may go over to stay at 'little house' & use garage over there when mine due in the summer. J.

Hi Dean, am sniffling too. Mine due to drugs though- honestly. Kept feeling was getting a cold & mentioned it to a nurse. Nope, yet another side-effect. Still only 1 more lot of that to go, whoopee.

Just realised that havent got to do any ironing tonight. Daughter does her own washing now- yay- as does OH at the little house, so wont have to iron 2x a week. Mind you still wearing jumpers around here, so no ironing of those anyway. J.

That's good news Becks.

OH's car due it's MOT/service this month- I better remind him again. Luckily there's a really good, reliable garage on the industrial estate where he works. The sort that wont do un-nec work, always phones you to discuss options etc. Think most people at the factory, including the boss/ex-boss, use his services.

Painkillers working..... J.

Ouch, my intentions of not eating more today just been scuppered. Back muscle 'gone' again, so painkillers plus an egg custard should help....

Photinias are nice. I wish I'd kept mine smaller, but it's got a lot of new shoots low down on main stem, so maybe, shall get treeman to remove the top one day. Since I only paid £4 for a poorly, potbound specimen, complete with powdery mildew, I dont grumble as it's now a glorious tree.

Evening Dean.J.

I'm back.

My post just gone into the ether coz I hit the ctrl button instead of shift. My fingers not behaving very well today, I couldnt get the token back out of the trolly at Aldi this morning.

Have just phoned the hospital as have received a different appointment date to that which I had previously been given over the phone. Secretary confused too......

Wont be eating much for tea, as have had another pub lunch with 'the girls'. Does us all good to get together & it was someone's birthday so a good idea today. It was snowing a bit outside the pub but brilliant sunshine t'other side of carpark- weird.

All being well shall start off more seeds tomorrow. Nothing else planned, but that could change- I hope not. J.

What's the weather like in your area?

A lovely sunny day today in Manchester, about 8+C at the mo, with much less wind.

Yesterday was well below freezing -4.5C first thing, but today better at 0C! J.

Jo, I envy you your thrush

You'll need some cream from Dr Geoff for that

What are you lot like?

It's already well below freezing outside again. May just use the car tomorrow instead of walking, scared of slipping. J.

I just mixed all seeds up together and bung into frozen ground outside ok

I hope you're joking. Tomatoes outside, freezing March in Cumbria......

The crash wasnt anything in our garden/side of house. I did poke my nose out of the back door- wormery cover still in place, ditto coldframes when looked over back gate. Must've been something at the back of next door?

We've just had a huge thrush in the tree next to lounge window, where feeders hang. That's the first time for ages. J.
