Having had a specific niger seed feeder up for several weeeks, in which only the local squirrels seemed interested, yesterday the bullfinches were spotted on it- grr- & today the goldfinches have arrived!

Now I need more niger seed! Also must get the fruit bushes netted too. J.

Just enjoyed Mary Berry story. Made me hungry & menu change for later this week.

Right, cant watch Paradise thingy & type at same time, so night all. J.

Evening Dean!

I'm not yet of buspass age, but am grey haired. Regularly use the bus & surprise the driver by slapping my £5 down & asking for a day saver. Quite often they have to scrap the ticket they'd done in anticipation!

Have to admit, my getting the state pension age may have really shifted, , but if the bus pass gets delayed as well......

We've just watched the Richard 3rd prog. Daughter of course is also reading up about it on net at same time..... J.

I didnt think that the cookery books were personal/individual either Geoff. OH decided otherwise. I cant remember who got what as a pressie/bought, except when I want a particular recipe & it's in one of those books that arent here/cant be found.

The chopper been over again!

Hope Flo feeling a bit better. Staying indoors, tucked up is the best thing to do in this weather.

Chris- I needed to renew my driving licence photo last yr. So knowing that it was due, I got my pics done before the chemo kicked in, whilst had hair! It's quite interesting seeing how it looked then cf now. Shall probably think about a trim sometime soon. Need to check out exactly where the salon is that was recommended to me by another C lady locally.

Meal planned for tonight has altered to something easy, & it uses up things from cupboard & fridge! J.

Oh yes, draft is for letter writing etc- dohsmiley.

Nothing oldfashioned about cookery books Bjay. Even better with handwritten notes all along the side of recipes.

Couple of yrs ago OH separated his books from mine/ours. It has saved the kitchen shelf from collapsing, but is infuriating if the book has gone to little house or disappeared into the black hole that is his workshop/study. He tends to use the net for loads, I cant be bothered.

Right, vision settled. Off to finish the last bit of cupboard clean out & then we can watch that program. J.

It looked ok to me Lottie- but not a teacher.

Am having a mega visual disturbance, first this month. Drat & b****r it. Have flopped next to laptop & am munching a well OOD pack of pecan nuts. Typing isnt easy, so why am I trying? stoopidwoman!

Pile of daughter's tins/packets, along with a lot of my clippits sat on this table. It's actually been quite funny- how long have I kept that? Do we/I need it/is OH going to notice it's gone? Good job it's bottle & ordinary bin collections Thursday.

I have just vetoed the idea of checking out the wardrobe cupboard that I use for some stock items- ketchup etc. OH has finally got the idea of giving me a list of his wants/needs before we go shopping on a saturday morning. J.

Oh Geoff, that'll be going round my head now.

We've just had a heavy snowstorm! Still falling, but a lot lighter & dripping off sills, guttering at the same time.

Dont worry. Am practising biting my tongue- wonders will never cease. Just hope that when we get a look at the place, OH does the same..... I shall just do her bidding, with a little bit of advice if asked of course.

Right, we're off to finish the cupboards, then can watch the R3 prog as a treat! Byee. J.

What's the weather like in your area?

Eek, we've just had a heavy snowstorm. Still coming down, but at least it's a lot lighter. J.

Plan to watch the Richard 111 later.

Like the idea of a small non electric kettle- shall get one I think.

The 'b' boiler at it again! Wind strong again, snow melting in places, pavements will be murder tomorrow if they freeze tonight.

Daughter trying to sort out in what order she needs to do things to the house. Wonder if OH will take some holiday? The jobbing gardener will think about it, mine comes first! J.

Got you Geoff. OH's Aunt has that set up & a shared drive. Drives her mad as she hasnt a car & the next door house now rented out. She worries herself silly over rights of way etc.

Daughter says the snow cover worse around here. She could be moving out sooner than I expected.......

Huge lot of 'bottom of veg rack/fridge' soup awaiting zapping. We've eaten the last of the roasted type left-over vegs for a snack. J.
