Gosh it's really blowing a hooley out there. Washing keeps needing rescue!

Spotted a 2cnd self seeded poppy! Hmm & I thought I'd taken off the seed head pronto, obviously not.......

Daughter still waiting on her potatoes & bags to be sent/arrive. Time enough for up here.

Parkers GC didnt have any dahlia tubers in the boxes when I popped in on way back from Monday's hospital visit. Noticed that Morrisons already had theirs but not much choice, so shall wait for Parkers. J.

Back from compost bin & boy is that wind increasing now. Sun in/out but expext shall need to replace wormery cover again later.

Spotted a self sown, not in a decent spot, oriental poppy. Daughter can have, if she wants it. Parent only cost £1 so no grumbles there & it's a belter.

BTW have just realised that a yr ago this friday I started my chemo..... but only 3 more home drug sessions to go J.

Back for a banana & fruit tea break.

Washing out, next load nearly done. Our bedding stripped/changed, plus the under sheets/under slips- they'll get washed as & when.

Put a pr of OH's trousers into charity pile, he'll never know, hasnt been that size for a while!  Several decent still, but am not happy wearing nowadays, t-shirts also in pile to go. Being ruthless.

Made mistake of looking up & seeing all the cobwebs. Not today, but they'll get done.

Down to compost bin with kitchen bucket now. J.

Morning all.

Daughter already left for her exam. I slept well, for once & am going to do all sorts in house today- well that's the plan!

A post I know I did yesterday either never got posted by me, most likely, or disappeared into the ether.

Lottie I'll join the charabang trip too, if I may. J.

Oh Dean, sad news. Agree he's had a good innings.

I'll have to miss the trip. Too many ongoing appointments at hospitals, courses to participate in & once committed ...... I'll hold the fort here!

Mega hooley outside. Something gone 'bang', possibly the cover off the wormery. As far as I can tell the greenhouse roof panels still all there.......

Ended up asleep on sofa earlier so meal was something simple. Shall cook properly tomorrow. Daughter will have done her exam, so she should feel better?? J.

Dry & surprisingly mild as I walked down to the hospital this morning. Wind increasing & trying to rain as I walked back. Got to about13C today.

Chucking it down now & very windy. J.

Geoff- sad sack? Who watched Raggy Dolls then?

Right Geoff- look away now-  OH going to phone up about the boiler!! It's almost as if it's the pipes on/in the one side wall that are vibrating. Not helped by daughter's bed being against that wall & her hearing being better than mine, but I can hear it too. Did it again earlier on......

Dean- boiler already in a cupboard. We have a back boiler still in situ, non functional now , that had given us brilliant service, despite neglect, for 20+yrs until late last autumn. That made an horrendous noise when the metal expanded/contracted, but we were used to that. I grew up with a back boiler too & there was one here when we moved in. To replace them nowadays is at least £1000 more than cost of the other sorts.

Whoever queried about car washing in the rain? When you're on a water meter it saves a whole bucket of water!

Have just watched A-Z of gardening, on i-player on daughter's pc. That, coupled with the arrival of another seed/plant catalogue earlier today, has had both daughter & me drooling....... I hope to get to visit her house & garden soon.

Right, another early start tomorrow. Was thinking of walking down to hospital, but not after the forecast. Night all, J.

I's here!

Bjay, well done.

Lottie- just throw the book at them, if you can do. It's about time the kids today, & their parents, learnt responsibility. Also that not everyone can be top/come first- .

Horrendous journey to hospital this morning. Finally got parked about 15mins walk away & ended up very late for appointment. Dozy main reception staff, who seemed to think my appointment was fiction (wrong word, but brain not working). They couldnt find my notes & grudgingly gave me more directions to correct dept, where total difference in attitude.

Yet another female doctor who wanted to know where I got my bright pink coat from. Scan last week was better than previous, but my weight oh dear........ Practically discharged from that dept., but will need to see my consultant, or her team sometime soon. Arranged for that appointment to be still at that hospital, despite the lack of parking, as the alternative would be horrendous....

Had lunch at M&S & did a bit of food shopping, but too shattered to do more. Back home, rested, then back out to wash the car, in the rain as you do.

Another hospital clinic tomorrow........

Going to do pasta now. J.

Started out very early, just above freezing, with a definite frost on OH's car & the grass.

Windy, dull, but dry this morning, so risked putting some washing out. Daughter got back in about lunchtime. Started to rain early afternoon, so I washed my car when I got home. Uses less water when it's already wet. J.

of Manchester here.

To whoever asked, yes it's a condensing boiler.

Totally stuffed- have eaten, & drunk, far too much & I bet they want to weigh me at the hospital tomorrow.... Not even sure if the jeans I wanted to wear will fit!

Daughter is clearing/cleaning up! About 'b' time too. J.
