Eer -wot place in France? Not me Becks. Wasnt Geoff going to Spain, but last holiday was in France?

No, we live in Manchester. OH works in NEast Derbyshire & rents 'a little house' over there. That's where I go & stay every so often to save him driving back home. My petrol not his! J.

Shall set off some time after 8am tomorrow!! I wouldnt be driving over those roads in the dark & wet for anything!

I then come back on the Monday morning. I'll probably trot into the town first thing for a nice coffee, no surprise there then, & the veg market & fish van, if he's still there. I also need to get OH & daughter a card. J.

I always did a s*d it iced cake, usually on CEve!

Now after family discussions last year I dont have to ice it! I know it doesnt seem right somehow, but I'm the only one who likes marzipan & thick icing- yum- so was outvoted! Plus after 2 lots of surgery in the run up to the hols last yr it just wasnt on. So no doing marzipan a week before & eating at least the same amout whilst doing it. Then waiting until it's dry etc etc. Trouble is I know there's a whole bloick of marzipan sat in the cupboard..... so what it's OOD!

ANYWAY daughter has finally heard that they're giving her the mortgage!! So much relief here, she's just said she still feels a bit off, but pleased. Now hope the survey doesnt find out something awful.

The tree decoration boxes are in the hall, along with the tree & we plan to make a start later on. Yes shall hoover next week whan am back from w/end. Still to pack for that as well..... J.

If you use toilet rolls as growing tubes, you wont need to remove the plant from it as the tube will rot down around the plants roots once in the ground.

Trying to remove the plant could damage the roots, although if the tube was already beginning to get soggy & disintergrating, then gently removing some of it would probably be possible at planting time, but no need IME. J.

Hmm, I'll see if daughter can do something. OH wont be back here until he finishes for Christmas- which reminds me WHEN is he finishing? No idea!

Daughter actually cooking us a snack lunch! I'm regretting not doing the cleaning yesterday, it's so dark! Think she may start our tree later..... I need to get the decorations out of our wardrobe, hmm, do that before or after I hoover in there?

Really chucking it down out there.

Chucking it down in Manchester now. No frost today, but did get quite cold last night before the cloud cover increased.

Dark here too. Why didnt I do the cleaning yesterday when easy to see what doing?! J.

Oh goody, M&S have sent me some extra points vouchers- now which store shall I visit?

Daughter has pointed out that by not having a taxi on Sat night we can leave as early if/when I need to crash out- true, but still not impressed!

Dull & no frost at all today. Cant see many flowers still out now, am going to do a count, as someone suggested on another thread, on 1st Jan. Should have a note from past yrs somewhere.

Yes you can still add to a bin. You will need to keep it mixed/stirred. It will speed up again once the weather warms up.J.
