Pear tree woes.

Posted: 11/09/2014 at 08:05

Hi Buddyboy.

Thanks for all your help. I thought that the black mould was maybe caused by not thinning out pears enough.(had larger crop this year than usual). The picture you sent with various markings on will be very handy in the future. The GM site is always best for help, but you have been a great mate.

                                                              Thanks once more.

                                                                                                John.

Hi.

Thanks for your help, is it best to spray or is there an "eco" way?

Butterflies

Where are all the butterflies?I saw a couple of Red Admirals earlier in the year, but nothing since.Usually about this time of year Cabbage Whites are trying to lay eggs on my cabbages, but not one is to be seen.I live on the West coast of Scotland.Anyone else noticed a marked drop in butterflies, or is it just me.

P.S. My neighbour hasn`t seen any either.
