Cosmos problems!

Help......I think I have sown my cosmos too early! I sown the seeds of my cosmos in the middle feb. they now are now about 8cm tall with flower buds in them. I have just today moved them out into my plastic pop up greenhouse to slow them down a bit. Question is can I pinch out the flower heads or should I start again?? I expected ur weather to be a bit warmer!!

I current ku have mine on a windowsill but I take it that once they are pricked out and grown a bit more i could put them in my plastic grow house

I am not sure in cms but the deepest part is probably up to my elbow if I put my arm in it and the shollowist to my wrist

Water plants for a wildlife pond

I created a wildlife pond from a preformed liner last autumn. It has sloped edges and will be in semi sun and semi shade. It is about 1metre long and about half a metre wide. Not very big. I am now thinking about what water plants to put in and have no idea where to start. None of the garden centres have any on stock at the moment and there is so much info online. So if anyone could give me the names of some plants that would be idea for a small pond or any good websites that would be great! Ps. The pond does not have a pump in it so would also need oxygenating plants

This time last year I purchased some from either homebase or b&q at this time of year from their bargain bin for 50p. I know it was not the right time to plant them but they came up and they were perfect!!

B******* Magpies

I live in a suburban area in a new build estate. I started to feed the birds with fat balls and a seed feeder. All I was attracting was magpies. Which eat all of the fat balls quickly and destroyed the seed feeders by either pecking all the plastic off of them so the seed falls out or knocking the feeder to the ground. I have now stopped pitting out fat balls and bought a stainless steel feeder and I no longer seem to attract the magpies to my garden. Although I do not seem to be attracting a great range of garden birds ..mosty wagtails and chaffinches and a very bossy robin. I am sure once my garden becomes more established and more shelter for the birds I will encourage more birds.

Wildlife friendly pond

I created a wildlife pond last autumn. I am looking for some advice on he best oxygenators for a small pond and perhaps where I could buy them. Thanks

I love the planting around the pond it is very nice and interesting. What is the low growing green grass like plant you have round the pond??
