Now the thing that really annoys me is people who park outside your house and play their music really loud, why do they think that I want to listen to their techno pop, I think that this is a real invasion of space and shows complete lack of manners and consideration for anyone else.

And as for the people who rev their engines first thing while they plug in their phone and ipod and adjust their satnav. Do these people never think about anyone else. Are they members of the me, me, me society.

Sometimes a newbie comes along and tells us their woes about an allotment theft or a bad gardener, everyone offers their sympathy and advice and the poster just leaves everyone hanging................

What about a seperate section for absolute beginers.

I actually think that this is a poor idea, as a new gardener I may want to ask for general advice or something specific and would appreciate help from both experienced gardeners and fellow newbies and even people who have only been gardening for a few years.

Putting all the newbies in their own section would be a bit pointless. And even if people do ask in the wrong section Bunny and Geoff will help them find what they are looking for.

I believe that these things are great if you have some lovely semi retired person with plenty of time, expertise and resources. You do always need a leader then others will follow, the idea that they will spring up spontaneously always makes me laugh.

It is sad but a salutatory tale, at the end of the day we are all just temporary guardians of our gardens. At the end of our days can we really expect someone else to maintain our gardens when we have gone?
