Virginia Creeper

Thanks for your comments, we can get Roundup in France but think it will be cheaper to buy here. We have tried this on an area but maybe it will need the whole area to be done. I have to say we have been cutting the creeper and pulling up long roots but this is no good so will give this a try, many thanks

Hi We have inherited a 'fallen' verginia creeper which has now taken over the whole of our back garden in France. There are layers apon layers of creeper and all the digging up of the creeper is having no effect. Can anyone suggest a complete killer for the whole garden or any advise on how to remove? It is quite a big area and we are at our wits end as to how to keep on top of this. We have the house as a holiday home so a complete eradication in the garden would not be a problem. We also have tried standard bought weed killers and also killers that are taken through the leaves. Nothimg works. We found the 'mother' plant and have broken that feed but again to no avail. Any suggestions would be great.
