BIG meal of grown vegs!

Sunday was the BIG day - the first of the potatoes and carrots I have ever grown.  Three potaotes (one 2 1/2 inches, one 1 inch and one 1/2 inch) and one carrot measuring a whopping 1 inch!!  Think I had better wait a few more weeks before pulling carrots again!

Its like a large grow-bag on end, so about 36 inches.  There are so many storks and leaves that they are growing along the floor now and some are going yellow.  Does this mean that they are nearly ready for digging up.  They are Charlottes.

Yes been earthing up, but they are growing in one of those potatoe pot things you can buy and when I reached the top, could not put any more earth on top.  Think it was just an odd few that were too near the top.

Went to inspect my crop in the greenhouse and there are large bright green grape like things on top of the earth.  Are these undergrown potatoes or an invasion of alian beings?!

Thank you both.  Just out now to do what you have said.  It has lovely mauve flowers at the moment and I look forward to it establishing over the years.

Apart from learn how to spell it!!    Just bought a lovely one and going to plant tomorrow.  How deep do I dig, do I fill hole with water before planting or do I just water after planting....plus any thing else I should know.  Thank you.
