That's them :)
Without the lichen they completely lose the coloration :/

Hi, I posted on this before but I am a primary school teacher and my class has insects which feed on lichen types like oakmoss that are found on tress. We are now running really low and wondering if anyone can help supply some? Here are some pictures of the lichen types we need, they can either be on twigs/branches or loose. I will happily pay for postage :) Hoping someone can help.
Thanks for any help.

Not sure where this post should go but does anyone have any Holm oak growing near them that they would be willing to post a few acorns from, please? I'm a teacher and apparently it's the second favourite type of leaf for my class leaf insects :)

I have some Perovskia in the school wildlife garden and I was wondering if anyone has any advice about getting it to grow upright as a lot of ours are drooping.

Have given those a shot before, doesn't seem to do the trick. Thanks though.
If they don;t have the lichen they revert to the normal brown/yellow coloration.

No, their vision doesn't work like that. They need to be surrounded by it.

They're a ssp of Extatosoma tiaratum. They don't eat it, they mimic it. I'm in Norfolk.

Yes, but I thought others might see it more on this section.
The zoo can't help sadly. It's just the lichen they require in order to maintain their coloration.

Not sure if this is in the right section but I'm a teacher at a primary school and in our class we have stick insects which need lichen branches to keep their colouration. I'm just wondering if anyone has any near them that they would be willing to post. I'd be happy to pay postage of course. The type I'm looking for is in the picture below...
