Precipitation.

It is driving me nuts too and I am in the drought-ridden South East, it is so frustrating when they predict a nice day and they get it wrong. I also have cosmos and assorted annuals that look like they will never flower this year.

White cloud and chilly here, I have very few jobs to do in the garden until we get some sunshine and plants start to grow. I am considering pruning back my clematis as it is getting a bit wayward

I wonder how MD's cobeas have coped with this weeks weather, I did notice that his views on growing beans are the same as Geoffs shall I sow some today?

I agree it did look great last night in GW, not sure that on the rain soaked day we got the best views of it. I do hope that they were able to reuse the plants.

Perennials not growing

I agree that it is really frustrating to buy a plant that is labelled hardy but that in reality is only hardy in certain conditions. I think it is going to be a tough year in the garden and that we will all have a number of disappointments. My echinacea have not come through yet and I think they may be another plant that I add to my list of lovely idea but needs a perfect location.
