Thanks Muddy Fork I cut the flowers off last week but I was getting a little impatient. I will repot now.

It is a bit of a generalisation but for a plant to flower in spring it really needs to be sown now   to get to a decent size. So foxgloves, sweet williams, honesty, wallflowers, forget me nots all classed as biennial. Although some can also be called a perennial as they will continue to flower the following year.

Good news I up ended my castor oil plant and it has lots of roots, just does not want to grow.

Just a thought, I had some Bellis daisies in pots on the patio one year, I have had daisies in the lawn ever since. I do not use weed killer on the lawn either.
