It is just so annoying, he is oblivious to all my defences, I have stakes in the ground, mahonia PRUNNNINGS, a chipped terracotta pot. The odd thing is that I would not have noticed if he had not been chatting to another neighbour, at least he had the decency to look embarrassed when he saw me watching.

 Russian V neighbour has been out walking on my flower beds again, I need a gardeners revenge, Euphorbia sap, weeds in the lawn or castor oil..............

Ronniekav if you are in Herts your biggest problem with pumpkins may be water, unless it rains all summer then your problem will be warmth.

Geoff most of us can not cope with 2 garden forums plus sports and tv forums, it is just too much. 2 weeks till sunshine

Wintersong sounds like a nightmare.

figrat do you put gardening stuff in the dishwasher???

Geoff they will go in pots and if I have too many in the garden, just thought I would try another variety to see if that was where I was going wrong.

The shady spot is against the fence and next to neighbours 3 Russian Vines so very dry. I assume that I could do them in pots if I really wanted to but I am trying to go with what grows well here.

We have just had a hail storm now sunshine.

Wintersong wish I could grow Hostas but it is too dry here and I gave up the fight.

Geoff I have 3 Shirley tomato seedling but The First in the field said they were good outdoors?
