Fruit tree pruning

Posted: 03/03/2015 at 11:24

The best bet is to remove the old trees and replace with your favorite variety of apple tree. Use half standard  so that they will be easy to maintain and easy to pick the fruit .also they won't block the light in your greenhouse.

Buy a self-watering kit, no more problems. you can go away with an easy mind.

Don't forget to pot up the runners leave them attatched to the parent plant just put compost into a small pot and gently push the runner plant into the top of the compost secure the runner with a staple when the plant has produced strong roots cut the runner from the parent plant. I have made 10 new strawberry plants that will be ready for next year saving me money and the satisfaction of knowing I did them myself.!!!!!!!!!

Late Runner Beans

Posted: 07/09/2012 at 16:01

This is the first year I have grown runner beans I cannot keep up with the amount the plants are producing, I have frozen some, how long do they keep inthe freezer?.

Can you cook the more mature ones, and do you have to take out the bean seeds or can you eat them?       Looking forward to an answer. Bye.
